Richard Mortensen

Richard Mortensen (1910–1993) was a key Danish abstract artist and co-founder of the Linien group. His paintings are defined by strong geometric forms, sharp contours and intense colour contrasts that reflect both constructivist discipline and expressive freedom. Mortensen created dynamic compositions filled with tension and movement, giving geometry a striking sense of drama.
