Hans Meyer Petersen
Hans Meyer Petersen (b. 1937) is a Danish painter and graphic artist whose work spans surrealism, lyrical abstraction and poetic watercolour collages. Early on he experimented with naturalism and constructive art, but found his personal voice through abstract, emotion-driven compositions with roots in the Phases movement. Petersen’s aquacollages and graphic works are characterised by delicate colour palettes, light textures and a close connection to nature — forms emerge subtly, often inspired by landscape and inner vision.
